CarbBiome S.r.l. develops, produces and commercialises innovative technologies and solutions for sustainable agriculture and environmental management. Its activities include the design, engineering and manufacture of advanced agricultural equipment, including proprietary deep-injection systems, and the application of pyrolysis technology to transform organic waste and low-value biomass into valuable bioproducts, among them biochar engineered for soil health and carbon sequestration.

The prevailing registered activity is experimental research and development in biotechnology (ATECO 72.10.10).

The company's declared research and development work is the study, creation and construction of specific procedures and machines for the deep and precise injection of engineered soil amendments, including biochar, reaching depths of 30 to 150 cm and targeting the root zone directly. The work addresses drought, soil degradation and contamination, with objectives including yield improvement, improved water retention, reduced fertiliser dependence and long-term soil regeneration with minimal surface disturbance.

Research and development expenditure was declared at approximately €255,000 against total costs of approximately €495,000, allocated to intellectual property study and protection, research and development including A-DIT prototyping, technical and scientific personnel, and laboratory and agronomic testing.

The entire workforce and all shareholders hold postgraduate degrees. Mitchell Jay Newdelman holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the University of Chicago. Alon Shalvi holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering and Management from Harrisburg University, alongside degrees in law and in business administration and accounting, and served as a chief engineer in the Israeli Navy before a career in product and operations leadership.

No such relationship is currently formalised. Research and engineering collaborations are under discussion but not yet contractually concluded; this page will be updated when any of them is signed.

The company owns no registered patents. It operates under an exclusive licence for Italy to the A-DIT deep-injection patent family, granted by the licensor that developed and patented the platform in the United States, with contractual rights to extend to further non-US jurisdictions. Know-how developed by the company on top of the licensed platform is owned outright by the company.

No annual financial statements have been filed yet. The company's first financial year closed on 31 December 2025.
